The Project

Join our growing recruiting team! As Sandy’s Recruiting Coordinator, you will help manage the logistics of putting incredible talent to work with equally incredible brands! In this role, you’ll be responsible for keeping our process flowing smoothly while ensuring candidates have an awesome experience at every turn. This is an opportunity to have a big impact within a rapidly scaling company, and as part of our recruiting team, you’ll also become an important external “face of the brand” as well! 

Our ideal candidate is a motivated, hyper-organized extrovert with a few years of HR/recruiting experience within a fast-paced startup or a digital ad agency, perhaps with a hospitality background thrown in for good measure! We are a lean and powerful team, passionate about finding ways to #makeworkbetter for all of us. You can expect a genuine, transparent and (usually) humorous experience with us as a candidate and (hopefully) an employee! 

What you’ll do:

  • Ensure a smooth overall Recruiting process for our team, clients, and candidates alike. Be responsible for managing open roles, active job listings, and candidate records. 
  • Supports Recruiter(s) by scheduling interviews, preparing materials, coordinating with candidates and following up promptly. 
  • Publish open roles to internal and external sites and ensure they are closed when roles are filled.
  • Ensure the candidates and hiring teams have an amazing interview experience through communication accuracy, tone, timeliness, and consistency. 
  • Communicate professionally in all interactions – internally and externally – in a way that reflects Sandy’s focus on kindness, humor, and inclusiveness. 
  • Deliver weekly status reports on candidate pipelines for open roles. 
  • Support Sandy’s Recruiting Director with additional special projects when needed. 
  • Assist Recruiting Director in driving key performance indicators for quantity, quality, speed, and cost

To be considered, you must have:

    • 1-2 years of professional experience as a Recruiting Coordinator, Jr. Recruiter, Sourcer, or other entry-level HR/recruiting role. 
    • Previous administrative experience and deep familiarity with the full Google suite. Hands-on experience managing HR and/or ATS systems
    • Working knowledge of WordPress
    • Experience maintaining HR or ATS systems
    • A balance of creativity and drive, along with interpersonal savvy and common sense. Your interpersonal skills – and “can do” mentality – will be critical to your success!
    • You can roll with the punches and embrace change with a great attitude. FWIW, we do have actual processes to follow, but sometimes we have to adapt to thrive.
    • You are able to work core hours PST
    • You have an obvious interest in Human Resources and/or Recruiting as a career path, and you want to make a real difference in a growing company – with the ability to have some fun along the way! 

    Bonus Points:

    • Analytics experience is a plus!
    • Previous experience working in any/all of the following: fast-paced startup, creative studio, digital ad agency, hospitality industry
    • You are a whiz with organization and enjoy creating effective processes/systems for yourself and others to use
    • You live in the Bay Area (we’re a fully remote team, but our Recruiting Director is in SF!)
    • Extra bonus points: Experience working in an ad agency or creative studio
